In the door-maze sequence, the virtual child figure moves through a labyrinth of interior spaces, gaining and losing solidity and focus as he progresses.

The doormaze imagery varies the alignment of its animation with the virtual 3D set. This visualization shows the projected video aligning exactly with the geometry (left), and then off axis (right). This produces imagery that moves in and out of figuration, while retaining the rhythm and scale of human movement, in startling ways.

The virtual child’s progression through this labyrinth is guided by Bill T. Jones, whose movements on stage advance or retard those of the projection.
