Memory score

The memory score agent visualizes its understanding of a complex, tangled solo performed by Neil Beasley. It produces a score showing how the present relates to the near past — a comparison and a projection of the current configuration of the dancer’s body with the agent’s memory of the solo.

The central algorithm is an attempt to decompose the movement into a series of key poses — representing the boundaries between phrases — and then to illustrate the connection between the dancer and these poses. An injection of red ink marks the present.
